New Jersey Private School Gets Solar Array - With Minimal Cost
Arosa announced the deal this week, affirming that the all-girls elementary school will soon have a 300-kilowatt solar panel system installed on its roof; the solar company helped the school to secure a no interest loan to offset a majority of the cost of installation. The New Jersey Economic Development Authority allotted the funding through its Clean Energy Solutions Capital Investment program.
To receive the loan, the school had to navigate through a long approval process against competition from myriad other proposed projects in the state, but with Arosa's help it was able to win the funding.
Shimmy Tessler, the owner of Arosa, affirmed that the company was thrilled to help its client win the loan: "We are proud to be one of the few that persevered to see this loan thru to its end. With this investment we can help this New Jersey school go solar and save over $55,000 a year and conserve almost 5,000 barrels of oil."
